The Fighting Fundamentalist

Few Christians these days seem to actually stand for something.  Many Gallup and other polls have pointed out the glaring fact that most church members today differ little (if any) from the pagan world in their attitudes and moral practices.  Where are the "Fighting Fundamentalists" of the past?  Where are those men who cared enough to seriously and earnestly contend for the Faith?

The sad fact is that there are few real Fundamentalists left anymore.  Most have either gone to be with the Lord, or else have compromised with the worldliness and sin of the world around them.  It seems that there are many more Lots wallowing in Sodom than then there are Abrahams living separate, godly lives.

Will you stand up for Jesus and the Bible?  Will you put Jesus first?  Some have claimed the motto "Jesus First"  but then they go about actively putting the world, the flesh and the Devil first.  No, I do not mean that you should be a pseudo-fundamentalist like those phony godless preachers you see so much on television.  No, I am talking about the real thing.

And are you willing to earnestly contend for the Faith?  If you are, then you are very much in the minority these days.  You will probably have few friends.  You might be "shown the door" of your church by some wicked pastor or deacon who wants to make sure everything is "quiet" and those "Fighting Fundamentalists" are gone.  To such men, the motto is to "cast out the good Christian who resists evil and then strife against the world, the flesh, and the Devil will cease."

Are you a compromiser with sin?  It is sure easier to be a wicked, Christ-and-Bible-denying compromiser.  Your problem is that you must one day stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ.  Your wicked, deliberate sin and rebellion against the clear commands of Christ to preach the word and to come out and be separate will be revealed in that day.

Do you want Jesus to say "good and faithful servant" to you in that day?  If you refuse to be a Fighting Fundamentalist, please do not count on Jesus being pleased with you in that day.  You are rather a wicked and lazy servant who knew his Master's will and refused to do it.  You refused to be a Fighting Fundamentalist.  God help you in that day!
